An electric drill apparatus having a low profile is provided which comprises an annular cutter, a motor for rotating the annular cutter, a rotary shaft assembly for rotating the annular cutter attached to its leading end about a rotating, a rotation reduction mechanism disposed between the motor and rotary shaft assembly for transmitting a driving force of the motor to the annular cutter through the rotary shaft assembly, a feed mechanism responsive to an operation of a manual handle, for moving the rotary shaft assembly along with a straight line to advance or retract the annular cutter attached to the rotary shaft assembly with respect to a workpiece, and an adhesion base for securing the electric drill apparatus to the workpiece. The annular cutter has a plurality of cutting blades comprised of cemented carbide tips fixed on its lower end, thereby it is capable of rotating at a high speed. The rotary shaft assembly has a rotating shaft which rotates in a direction different from that of a rotating shaft of the motor, thereby the drill apparatus has a low profile.

The present invention discloses a collapsible stand for a bench-top power tool and methods therefore. The stand includes a structural member pivotally secured to a lower peripheral region of a base of a power tool. A slidable member is slidably and pivotally connected to the lower peripheral region and is pivotally connected to the pivotal structural member. Lower distal ends of both the pivotal and slidable structural members provide feet for supporting the associated power tool in an expanded orientation thereof. As the stand is collapsed, a top end of the slidable structural member slides towards a top end of the pivotal structural member. Both structural members may be pivoted to an orientation generally parallel with the lower peripheral region and may be locked thereto by a locking mechanism. A pair of wheels are rotatably connected to the base for transporting the stand and power tool thereupon.

A six-degree-of-freedom micro table designed on the basis of a piezoelectric ceramic actuator and a soft hinge chain carries out comprehensive compensation of linear positioning and angle errors on a long-stroke two-dimensional nano worktable. A driving mode that a stepping motor and a ball screw are combined is adopted, so a long-stroke two-dimensional nano worktable has a large pitching angle, a deflection angle and roll angle errors, and positioning precision is of micron size. The six-degree-of-freedom micro table has nanoscale linear positioning precision and millisecond-level angle positioning precision. The long-stroke two-dimensional nano worktable and the six-degree-of-freedom micro table are combined to form the long-stroke two-dimensional nano worktable system. Under control of a closed-loop control system, the six-degree-of-freedom micro table carries out the comprehensive compensation of the linear positioning errors and the angle errors on the long-stroke two-dimensional nano worktable, so two-dimensional long-stroke nano positioning is achieved.

A base plate for mounting a router in a support table provides a plate configured to fit in an orifice, having an inwardly extending ledge thereabout, defined in the support table with the router supported by the base plate to depend therefrom. The base plate defines a medial orifice for passage of the router shaft through the orifice for operative positioning of a cutter carried on the router shaft above the base plate. The base plate medial orifice releasably carries plural annular inserts to cover space between the router shaft and the support plate portion defining the medial orifice. Plural adjustment screws are carried in threaded engagement in the ledge of the support surface orifice for vertical motion to adjustably move adjacent portions of the base plate periphery upwardly from the ledge to create a coplanar relationship of adjacent portions of the base plate and support table. The base plate carries at least one releasably adjustable fastener to fasten the support plate on the ledge in the orifice defined in the support table.

The vehicle tool tray has a T-shaped based mounted on casters. A vertical post is mounted to the base at the junction of the shaft and crossbar of the Tee. The vertical post is composed of two telescoping sections which are preferably square and tubular in cross section. The telescoping sections are firmly clamped at the desired height by a lock mechanism having a cam and a crank lever pivotally attached to a U-shaped bracket, the cam releasably engaging one of a plurality of slots defined in the upper section of the vertical post. A tool operates with a guide system to identify the orientation of a tool on a work piece. In one implementation, the tool identifies its orientation with respect to a guide signal supplied by the guide system. In an alternate embodiment, the tool determines its absolute orientation, such as a (x, y) coordinate. The tool includes an action component adapted to alter the work piece, such as a cutting head in a router. A guide detector in the tool detects a position of a guide signal from the guide system. A location detector in the tool receives the position data and employs it to determine the tool's orientation. Based on the detected orientation, the tool decides whether any tool adjustments are necessary. Examples of tool adjustments include the following: adjusting the position of the action component, enabling or disabling the action component, and providing operating indicators to direct a tool operator's use of the tool.

A combination tool for measuring and cutting materials such as drywall is disclosed. The tool includes a mount formed by first and second housing portions, the first and second housing portions defining a path terminating at an opening at one end of the mount. A tape measure blade receiving slot opens into the mount adjacent to the path and is located and oriented so that the slot and the path are substantially coplanar. A knife blade shuttle is movable along the path and a saw blade is pivotably connected in the mount. An exterior surface of one of the housing portions includes a plurality of rasp teeth formed thereon for filing cut material.

A portable collapsible stand includes first, second, and third support frames, a work surface frame, and a telescoping strut pivotably connected to the first and work surface frames. The second frame projects perpendicularly from a lower portion of the first frame. The present invention is directed to a universal portable workstation that can be temporarily coupled to an existing fixture, the portable workstation comprising an adjustable support leg assembly, a first table section, a second table section and an attachment clamp. The support leg assembly includes one fixed leg and at least one adjustable leg configured for relative telescopic movement. The support leg assembly is pivotally coupled to a first table section that is configured to house the support leg assembly in a retracted position. The height of the workstation is adjustable and can be fixed by a height adjustment lock. First table section and second table section are hingedly coupled so that the two sections can be in an extended, flat position and a folded, retracted position. The attachment clamp is configured to temporarily fixedly couple an end of the second table section to the existing fixture.

A table saw cart including a carrier, a foldable frame, and a pair of wheels; a stretcher between wheels; a connection rod between the stretcher and rear legs of the foldable frame. The wheels are raised above the floor by the stretcher to prevent displacement of cart while the machine thereon is operating. Two extension rods extend from the open end of carrier to secure the cart with the wheels. Both rear legs define a handle; and a pull rod and three locking pins control the elevation of the cart to secure the cart in either of a folded positioned or a raised, standing position.
