A device for monitoring athletic performance of a user has a wristband configured to be worn by the user. An electronic module is removably attached to the wristband. The electronic module has a controller and a screen and a plurality of user inputs operably associated with the controller. The user inputs include a user input configured to be applied by the user against the screen and in a direction generally normal to the screen.

Implantable medical devices (IMDS) comprising a monitor or implantable pulse generator (IPG) having an IPG header to which lead connector assemblies of electrical medical leads are coupled, particularly, an improved in-line IPG header providing enhanced durability, ease of manufacture, and ease of use. A stack of alternating, substantially tubular electrically insulating fluid seals and header connector elements is assembled in axial alignment to form a common, elongated axial stack bore sized in diameter and length to receive the lead connector assembly. Each adjacent electrical connector element and fluid seal are interlocked with one another during assembly of the stack to maintain the axial alignment and the length and diameter dimensions. Fluid seals are located at each end of the stack, and the stack can be inserted as a unit into a cavity of the IPG header.

An implantable connector electrically connects multi-conductor leads to an implantable medical device such as a neurostimulator. The connector is assembled directly into a hermetic feedthrough of the implantable device and utilizes the feedthrough housing as a sustaining structure for connector clamping. The receptacle contacts detachably connect proximal lead contacts to corresponding feedthrough pins, which provide pass-through connections to electronic circuitry contained in a hermetically sealed case. The receptacle contact has resilient contact tines designed to engage a corresponding lead contact in a sliding manner. The receptacle contact is integrated with a contact guard which protects the receptacle contact from inadvertent handling damage. The contact guard is substantially more rigid than the resilient contact to resist deformation. The contact guard protectively shields the receptacle contact tines and prevents unintended contact tine excursion. In one embodiment, the contact guard is pre-attached to the receptacle contact prior to joining to the feedthrough pin. In another embodiment, the contact guard is an integral part of the feedthrough pin. Numerous embodiments with contact preload are provided.

An electrical connector includes an inner shielding shell, an insulating housing, a plurality of terminals and an outer shielding shell. The inner shielding shell defines an accommodating chamber therein. The insulating housing has a base body engaged with a rear of the accommodating chamber and a tongue portion extended forward from the base portion to stretch into a front of the accommodating chamber. A ring-shaped cavity is opened in a periphery of the base body for receiving a waterproof washer therein. An outer periphery of the waterproof washer abuts against insides of the inner shielding shell. The terminals are disposed in the insulating housing. The outer shielding shell surrounds the inner shielding shell. The outer shielding shell has at least one soldering arm soldered to a printed circuit board for achieving a ground function of the inner shielding shell through the outer shielding shell.

A dual orientation connector having a connector tab with first and second major opposing sides and a plurality of electrical contacts carried by the connector tab. The plurality of contacts includes a first set of external contacts formed at the first major side and a second set of external contacts formed at the second major side. Each individual contact in the first plurality of contacts is electrically connected within the tab or body to a corresponding contact in the second plurality of contacts. In some embodiments contacts in the first and second pluralities of contacts that are directly opposite each other are coupled together. In some other embodiments, contacts in the first and second pluralities of contacts that are in a cater cornered relationship with each other are coupled together. The first plurality of contacts are symmetrically spaced with the second plurality of contacts and the connector tab is shaped to have 180 degree symmetry so that it can be inserted and operatively coupled to a corresponding receptacle connector in either of two insertion orientations.

A power adapter, in a presently preferred embodiment, includes a power converter and multiple data ports, and is configured for ease of coupling the power converter into pre-existing premises power connectors. Thus, premises power can be supplied from the power converter and a first data port, via data cabling, to a network terminating device for an external network. Multi-protocol adapters, such as an HPNA (Home Phoneline Network Alliance protocol compliant) / Ethernet adapter, may also be included to provide extension of a protocol (such as Ethernet) over pre-existing premises wiring. A back-up battery is optionally provided, as well as appropriate switches and indicators. Specialized male-female connectors may also be used.

The proximal end portion has a first receptacle configured to receive a first type of connector assembly associated with a first implantable cardiac lead, and a second receptacle configured to receive a second type of connector assembly associated with a second implantable cardiac lead. An elongated flexible lead portion extends from the distal end portion of the adaptor housing. A connector assembly is operatively associated with a distal end section of the flexible lead portion of the adaptor for connection to an implantable pulse-generating device, such as, for example, an implantable pacemaker or defibrillator. Low resistance conductor wires electrically connect the connector assembly associated with the distal end section of the lead portion with the first and second receptacles of the adaptor housing.

An EMI filtered connector includes a plurality of conductive terminal pins, a grounded conductive connector housing through which the terminal pins pass in non-conductive relation, and an array of feedthrough filter capacitors. Each of the feedthrough filtered capacitors has a distinct first set of electrode plates, a non-distinct second set of electrode plates, and a first passageway through which a respective terminal pin extends in conductive relation with the first set of electrode plates. At least one ground lead is conductively coupled to the conductive connector housing and extends into a second passageway through the array of feedthrough filter capacitors in conductive relation with the second set of electrode plates. An electrical connector assembly comprising a housing having an interior chamber defining at least one lead frame plane, and identical sets of non-identical lead frame elements. The lead frame plane has a reference point. The lead frame elements are mounted in the interior chamber and aligned within at least one lead frame plane. The lead frame elements are adjustable along the lead frame plane between multiple levels with respect to the reference point. The multiple mating levels of the lead frame elements are created from only one lead frame. The mating levels are selected by the individual lead frame elements being positioned with respect to the reference point. The electrical connector also comprises N lead frame elements, each of which is adjustable between M mating levels to form X lead frame configurations, wherein X=MN.

An electrical connector (100) includes an insulative housing (1) for receiving a number of contacts (2). The insulative housing has a base (11) extending in a longitudinal direction and a mating portion (12) protruding forwardly from the base. A telecommunications patch panel is provided having a plurality of connector modules rotatably mounted to a frame member. Each connector module has a front face and an opposite facing rear face, and each front face includes a plurality of connector jacks. Each rear face includes a plurality of wire termination blocks. The wire termination blocks are electrically connected to the connector jacks. Each connector module is rotatable about a rotation axis relative to the frame member. A lock selectively locks each connector module to the frame member as desired. The connector jacks and the connector modules are arranged in linear arrays perpendicular to the axis of rotation.

A lead connector arrangement includes a non-cylindrically shaped connector pin coupled to a lead conductor and a connector sleeve assembly for receiving the non-cylindrically shaped connector pin. The connector sleeve assembly includes an insert with an axial bore formed therein that complements the shape of the non-cylindrical connector pin.
