Abstract

The invention provides a preparation method of a methanol synthesis catalyst loaded on a gel carrier. The invention belongs to the technical field of catalyst preparation. The method comprises the steps of: preparing a Cu matrix and a Zn matrix by using a coprecipitation method; coprecipitating an aluminum salt solution with a composite precipitator composed of alkali and polyethylene glycol to obtain a sol solution; adding 1%-5% (wt.) of a gel inducer epoxypropane into the composite sol solution, and then carrying out aging treatment for 0.5-5 hours to finally obtain a composite gel carrier; loading the matrixes on the composite gel carrier to obtain catalyst slurry; and granulating and drying through spray drying, and finally, carrying out tableting molding on the roasted particles to obtain a finished product of the catalyst. The methanol synthesis catalyst prepared by the method provided by the invention has the advantages of large specific surface area, reduced total impurity content of crude alcohol, and better catalyst activity and thermal stability. The catalyst is suitable for preparing methanol from synthetic gas containing CO, CO2 and H2.
