Problems solved by technology

The key step in the preparation process is to choose a suitable dispersion medium and dispersant to disperse the ceramic powder, make a slurry and coat it on the template, which requires the preparation of high solid phase content, good stability and flow properties However, the fluidity and stability of the slurry are contradictory when preparing foam ceramics, which will cause the slurry that has been coated on the surface of the organic foam to salivate during the drying and dehydration process, and the distribution of the slurry is uneven. Due to the different shrinkage sizes of plain embryos, small cracks will also occur, and cracks will occur during sintering, and qualified products cannot be obtained

Embodiment 1

[0020] Immerse polyurethane foam with a pore size of 20PPI and a size of 100×100×25mm in 10% sodium hydroxide aqueous solution at 50°C, take it out after 30 minutes, wash it with water until it is neutral, and dry it naturally for later use. Take 71 grams of monomer acrylamide, 5.8 grams of initiator potassium persulfate and 3.2 grams of crosslinking agent N, N'-methylenebisacrylamide, add to 240 grams of water and mix evenly, and mix 335 grams of aluminum oxide in a high-speed ball mill. The powder and 65 grams of zirconium dioxide powder were mixed with the above aqueous solution to make a slurry. Dipping the spare polyurethane foam in the slurry repeatedly to make the slurry adhere to the foam network through the process of repeatedly dipping the slurry and squeezing the slurry, and centrifuging to remove the excess slurry. Next, place the prepared blank in an oven at 50°C for 2 hours, and dry it naturally until the water content is less than 1%, and then the gel-casting pr...

Abstract

The invention provides a technique for producing alumina foamed ceramic by gelcasting, relating to a production method of alumina foamed ceramic for refining and filtering aluminum alloy, copper alloy and high-temperature molten steel. The technique comprises the following steps: heating a polyurethane foam sodium hydroxide water solution, washing with water until no alkaline liquor is residual, and drying; mixing powder alumina, monomer acrylamide, initiator ammonium persulfate, cross-linking agent N,N'-methylene-bis-acrylamide and toughener zirconium dioxide with water; immersing the dried polyurethane foam in the slurry, and carrying out slurry dipping and extrusion repeatedly, thereby obtaining the biscuit; putting the biscuit in a drying oven, and carrying out polymerization reaction on the monomer to obtain a gelcasting body; and putting the gelcasting body in a high-temperature furnace, and naturally cooling to obtain the product. The invention has the advantages of no need of any dispersant for preparing the slurry, simple formation equipment, low cost and the like, and can form complicated shapes; and in particular, the net dimension stability of the product is high, thereby greatly reducing the probability of biscuit cracking due to dimension shrinkage in the normal-temperature drying period and the early sintering period.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a process method for producing alumina foam ceramics, in particular to a process method for producing alumina foam ceramics by casting injection molding. Background technique [0002] Foam ceramics is a ceramic material with many excellent properties. It is the third generation of porous ceramic products emerging after ordinary porous ceramics and honeycomb porous ceramics. The porosity of this high-tech ceramics is usually as high as 70%-90%. Its pore structure is a porous body with an interconnected labyrinth-like three-dimensional network skeleton structure, and its structure is like tempered foam plastic or porcelain sponge. Therefore, this special structure is very suitable for filtering molten metal. With the rapid development of aerospace, military and electronic technology, the requirements for the quality of castings are increasing, and the method of using foam ceramics to filter clean molten metal has been highly val...
