Problems solved by technology

At present, many manufacturers are adjusting their product structure to replace chloroprene adhesives with SBS adhesives, but it is worth noting that some manufacturers use more toxic halogenated hydrocarbons as solvents when producing SBS adhesives (such as : 1,2-dichloroethane, dichloromethane, etc.), which will cause new hazards to the environment, producers and users

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for preparing an environment-friendly waterborne SBS bonding agent. The formulation employed by the invention comprises: 100 parts of SBS emulsion, 5-50 parts of methyl methacrylate or methyl acrylate, 0-40 parts of phenethylene, 1-30 parts of methacrylic acid or acrylic acid, 0-40 parts of butyl methacrylate or butyl acrylate, 1-15 parts of radical initiators, 5-20 parts of emulsification tackifiers, 0.1-2 parts of NaHCO3 and 0-90 parts of deionized water. During preparation, the SBS emulsion and the deionzied water are added and nitrogen is fed into a synthesis device; the reaction system is preheated and is dripped with a premixed monomer mixing system and 90% initiator of the total desired amount, the NaHCO3 is added to regulate the pH value; after 2-3-hourreaction, the rest 10% of the initiator is supplemented and temperature rises to 80-90 DEG C and is then dropped to the room temperature after 1-2 hours, the emulsification tackifier is added. The invention has the advantages of having the operating temperature in a range from 120-180 DEG C, of being free from organic solvents, toxicity and combustion, and of spreading area, low cost, good water resistance, strong adhesion and high adhesion strength.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a preparation method of an environment-friendly water-based SBS binder. technical background [0002] Styrene-butadiene-styrene inlay copolymer (SBS) solvent-based adhesive is light and transparent in color, has good frost resistance and stamping resistance, and simple process. It is currently the most widely used glue in adhesives. However, the SBS adhesive has low adhesion to polar substrates and poor aging resistance. Use free radicals to open the unsaturated double bonds in the butadiene segment of the SBS molecule, and then graft polar monomers such as acrylates, so that the SBS molecule becomes a comb-like molecule with a polar side chain, and has a slight cross-linking effect. Linked to improve the cohesion of the binder and the adhesion to polar materials. Most of the current research focuses on SBS solvent-based adhesives, which have considerable toxicity and pollution during production and use, high cost, and the po...
