Credit-card modular two-component wallet-reader set

InactiveUS7117990B2Reduce the cross-sectional areaGreat torsional resistancePursesLuggageCredit cardModularity
A credit card modularized set having a flexible stow envelope for receiving a companion nose-clasping type reading glasses, with a length and width approximately that of a conventional credit card; wherein as the set is stacked within a group of conventional credit cards, no portion of the set is substantially protrusive nor recessive of the stacked group. The reading glasses component has a special beam bridge portion having a square cross-sectional shape thereby affording maximum torsional resistance for its diminutive size plus a laterally tapering cross section evenly distributing any imposed bending loads. The modularized set has a minimal thickness enabling its user to slip the set conveniently within the user's wallet modularly among the user's credit cards for ready availability.

Handle free claw clip

A hair clip that opens and closes using an elastic band. The band holds the jaws in an open position (which eliminates the need for the levers) and the band also urges the jaws together to close the clip (eliminating the need for a metal spring). The clip has a length of material that is attached either across its top or around it. Because the jaws have no attached protruding levers for opening and closing them (like the ones in a traditional ‘butterfly’ clip), the length of material lays relatively smooth across the top of the clip, which not only hides the hinge and elastic band (improving the aesthetic appearance of the clip), it makes it possible to decorated the material or add a companies logo thereto.

Trim for mounting exterior coverings for windows

A storm trim for holding a panel over a window for protection against impact of objects carried by wind during a storm. The storm trim includes a lineal cap and a lineal base. The base may be used with a window frame, incorporated into a window frame or be used in glazing surrounds or shutters. The base carries a stacked screw boss to receive and securely hold the anchoring screws that are needed to hold the panel over the window. The anchoring screws do not extend through the lineal base but remain within it. When the storm trim is not in use, the cap covers the lineal base.

Pipette

A pipette for use with pipette tips in which a set metering volume is secured in that the locking body is arranged on the circumference of the annular cylindrical locking element when it is in the locking position. Through this, the transmission part which the locking element comprises on the outer circumference is held fast. The annular cylindrical locking element can be formed separately from a toothed ring for driving a counter mechanism. Thus, it is possible to perform the locking in arbitrary positions or in more selectable rotational positions than in the conventional locking equipment, where a locking element engages into the toothed ring for driving the counter mechanism.

Structure of a Cutting Tool

An improved structure of a cutting tool includes a body, a moving base, and a roller base. The body has a track groove whose one side is extended upward with a stopping wall. The moving base is disposed to slide in the track groove and mounted with a cutting wheel. The moving base is connected with a transmission element so as to move along the track groove. The roller base is disposed between the moving base and the stopping wall. More than one elastic element is disposed between the roller base and the stopping wall. The elastic elements generate a deviation when the roller base is under a force. The roller base has at least two rollers corresponding to the cutting wheel.

Multiple band hair fastener

A multiple band fastener and method for securing sections of hair of a human being in sections and for aligning hair bands. The apparatus is a semicircle headband that has a plurality of hair bands integrally attached and aligned longitudinally along its top. In use, the headband is attached to the hair and hair sections are neatly aligned and secured to the multiple band fastener by placing each corresponding hair section into the corresponding hair band. Each band always remains aligned with each other and the multiple band hair fastener is easily removable and reusable.

A method for producing a duct from a planar board having two opposed substantially parallel edges with metal foil facings on opposed major surfaces of the board is disclosed. The method comprises making planar cuts through one of the metal foil facings and at least most of the planar board there below to produce a blank with 3 parallel “V shaped grooves which are parallel to angled edges of the blank. A duct is formed by folding the blank so that the “V” shaped grooves form three of the edges of the duct, and the angled edges form the fourth of the edges.

Claw clip hair fastener

A multiple clip hair fastener that comprises three or more claw clips attached together by spacer bands. The spacer bands are substantially rigid and are attached to each clip in such a manner as to restrict the movement of each clip from moving out of alignment in at least one direction. The clips can move in an up and down direction and not a side by side direction; this allows each clip to be attached one at a time to the hair, while the other clips are kept up and out of the way, while continuing to stay in alignment.

Multiple clip hair fastener

A multiple clip fastener for securing sections of hair of a human being in rows and for aligning hair clips. The apparatus is a semicircle headband, retaining comb, or barrette that has a plurality of hair clips integrally attached and aligned longitudinally along their top. In use, the headband, retaining comb, or barrette is attached to the hair and hair sections are neatly aligned and secured in rows to the multiple clip fastener by placing each corresponding hair section into corresponding hair clip. Each clip always remains aligned with each other and the multiple clip hair fastener is easily removable and reusable.

Shift Arrangement For A Motor Vehicle Transmission and Method for Actuating Said Shift Arrangement

Shift arrangement for a motor vehicle transmission which has at least two gear stages that can be engaged and disengaged by means of different rods has a housing. At least two push rods are mounted on the housing in such a way as to be movable in an axial direction between a neutral position and at least one shift position and which can each be coupled to a shift clutch or a shift clutch pack. At least two return rods are mounted on the housing in such a way as to be movable in an axial direction between a neutral position and at least one shift position. The return rods are each coupled to one of the push rods in such a way that a push rod and the return rod associated therewith are moved in opposite axial directions. A shift member is mounted on the housing in such a way that a shift cam of the shift member can be aligned with a push rod or with a return rod for the purpose of selecting, and can transmit a pushing force to the selected rod and move it in a first axial direction for a shift operation. At least one driving feature is arranged on the shift member in such a way that, before or during a shift operation on a selected rod, the driving feature can transmit a pushing force to at least one unselected rod in order to move said unselected rod into the neutral position.
