Quick release bicycle wheel

A wheel quick release system for a bicycle or other wheeled vehicle where the wheel can be easily removed by a manual operation on only one side of the wheel hub but is prevented from unexpected separation at all times while engaged with the wheel. A laterally moving skewer mounted concentrically inside a hollow axle is equipped with a “non-touch” nut on one end and is spring loaded toward a quick release cam on the other end thereby always urging the nut against the adjacent dropout. To remove the wheel, the quick release cam is operated and the quick release side assembly is pushed axially inward and a safety mechanism is operated and held in this position while the wheel is removed from the fork dropouts. When the wheel is again inserted into the wheel fork, the skewer automatically locks onto the dropouts, and subsequently if the quick release cam is inadvertently left open by the user, the wheel will be somewhat loose but will remain safely inserted in the wheel mounts. In this way, if the bicycle or wheeled vehicle looks safe to ride, it is safe to ride.

Fastening and connecting assembly and structure, disassembling method, track structure, crankshaft connecting rod system, bone connecting device and bone connecting method

The invention discloses a fastening and connecting structure. The fastening and connecting structure comprises a parent body, an affiliated body and a fastening and connecting assembly. The fastening and connecting assembly comprises a threaded rod, a locking nut and an anti-rotation sleeve. The threaded rod penetrates the parent body and the affiliated body and is in threaded connection with the locking nut. Clamping holes are formed in the anti-rotation sleeve, or clamping sunken portions communicating with the outer circumference of the anti-rotation sleeve are arranged on the outer circumference of the anti-rotation sleeve. The anti-rotation sleeve is mounted out of the threaded rod, arranged in a first anti-rotation hole and limited in the axial direction. A first anti-rotation portion on the hole wall of the first anti-rotation hole of the locking nut cooperates with a second anti-rotation portion at the outer circumference of the anti-rotation sleeve, so that the locking nut is restricted from rotating relative to the anti-rotation sleeve. A third anti-rotation portion on the hole wall of a first anti-rotation through hole of the anti-rotation sleeve cooperates with a fourth anti-rotation portion of the threaded rod, so that the anti-rotation sleeve is restricted from rotating relative to the threaded rod. The threaded rod and the locking nut are mounted together in a manner that the threaded rod and the locking nut cannot rotate. The fastening and connecting structure has the beneficial effects that the situation that the locking nut is rotated in the reverse direction relative to the threaded rod and get loosened is avoided; and the anti-rotation sleeve can be taken out of the first anti-rotation hole conveniently, rapidly and reliably.

Lockable quick release apparatus

A lockable quick release mechanism is provided having a cam lever threaded onto a shaft which extends through and beyond a barrel nut, fitted in the cam lever so that it will provide interference with a padlock when locked. The cam lever has a lock hole for the padlock, and a curvature which, when locked, will stop the cam lever from being rotated more than a few degrees due to interference with the fork blade. A cam follower is provided on the shaft and has anti-rotation tabs, which fit into the clevis of the cam lever, and which engages the camming surface of the cam lever thereby preventing the cam lever from being rotated in the locked position due to the amount of friction between the cam follower and the fork tip. The cam follower is always biased by a spring against the camming surface to prevent a fork blade from being mis-positioned between the cam follower and the camming surface.
