The device is a rigid, short neck body, u-shaped in cross-section and designed to simulate a short section of the neck of a stringed instrument, such as a guitar. A real time performance pressure feedback system for a stringed instrument includes a pressure sensor, a desired pressure input device, a feedback device, and a controller. The pressure sensor is configured to be fixedly and removably attached to the stringed instrument on a pressure surface, and to generate a pressure signal indicative of a pressure being applied to the pressure surface.
