Abstract

The invention discloses a shell-based air purifying material and a preparation method thereof. Raw materials include 100 parts of shell powder, 60-80 parts of calcium chloride dihydrate, 30-40 parts of ammonia water with the concentration of 20%, 180-250 parts of hydrogen peroxide with the concentration of 30%, 20-80 parts of gypsum-based gelatinization powder and 50-180 parts of water. The preparation method comprises the following steps: carrying out pretreatment, in-situ reaction and combination to obtain a powdery material with an air purifying function; adding 0.1-3.5 parts of a reinforcing filler and 0.1-73 parts of a hydration liquid-phase medium into the powdery material, then moulding, drying, maintaining, and then carrying out finishing treatment, so that powdered granulated, shaped granular or plate-shaped shell-based air purifying material is obtained. The preparation method disclosed by the invention has the advantages that the in-situ reaction is carried out on the shell powder, so that micro-scale calcium peroxide is produced in porous channels of the shell powder, the shell powder has the capability of directly oxidizing and decomposing harmful gases such as formaldehyde, the problems that an existing air purifying material is low in purification rate and poor in purification persistence are solved, and functionality and decorativeness such as self humidity control, antibacterial and mouldproof properties, fire resistance, noninflammability, sound absorption and noise reduction can be achieved.
