Embodiment 1

[0024] Use high-quality industrial pure iron and mixed rare earth alloys with 35% lanthanum (La) and 65% cerium (Ce) as raw materials, and use a vacuum induction furnace lined with an alkaline earth metal oxide crucible as the melting device. Different smelting parameters such as smelting temperature and pressure are used. Lanthanum-cerium mixed rare-earth ferroalloy used in the production of rare-earth steel, its chemical composition is calculated by weight percentage, including: La: 5.0%, Ce: 9.3%, C: 0.04%, P: 0.008%, S: 0.005%, and the rest is Fe and other unavoidable impurities.

[0025] The mixed rare earth ferroalloy is used to produce Q550D steel grade of Baotou Steel's wide and thick plate production line, which significantly improves the yield of rare earth. The comparison results are shown in Table 1.

Abstract

The invention discloses a lanthanum-cerium mixed rare earth ferroalloy for rare earth steel production. The lanthanum-cerium mixed rare earth ferroalloy comprises the following chemical components in percent by weight: more than or equal to 4.0 percent of lanthanum, more than or equal to 7.5 percent of cerium, less than or equal to 0.05 percent of carbon, less than or equal to 0.010 percent of phosphorus, less than or equal to 0.005 percent of sulfur and the balance of iron and impurities, wherein the content of lanthanum and cerium is less than 20 percent. When the lanthanum-cerium mixed rare earth ferroalloy is used for smelting high-quality rare earth steel, because the specific gravity is close to the specific gravity of steel, the lanthanum-cerium mixed rare earth ferroalloy can be rapidly fused into steel in the refining process, the problem that rare earth is constrained to be added into steel for a long time is solved, and the yield of the rare earth is improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of metal materials, in particular to a lanthanum-cerium mixed rare-earth ferroalloy used in the production of rare-earth steel. Background technique [0002] At present, rare earths are widely used as additives in steelmaking. Rare earths have three main functions in steel: purification, modification and microalloying. Adding rare earth to molten steel can desulfurize, deoxidize, and change the shape of inclusions, which can improve the plasticity, stamping performance, low-temperature impact toughness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance of steel, and can also improve the welding performance of steel. There are two most commonly used methods for adding rare earths in steelmaking production: [0003] One is rare earth alloys. Rare earth alloys are made into block or powder alloys. Block alloys are used in large ladles. Powdered alloys are generally added to steel by powder spraying in ladles or injection pipes...
