Problems solved by technology

So far, the pathogenesis of AD, as well as the mechanism of NFT phenomenon, a typical pathological sign of AD, has not been elucidated, which has caused great difficulties in the prevention and treatment of AD.
[0003] At present, animal models of Alzheimer's disease mostly use trauma and drug induction methods, and it is inevitable that they will be affected by various interference factors caused by trauma, drugs, etc. during the experiment, making it difficult to analyze the results

Abstract

The invention relates to the field of biotechnology and particularly relates to a method for establishing an Alzheimer disease pathologic model based on the transgenic technology. In the invention, the Alzheimer disease pathologic model is established by generally over-expressing an HO-1 (heme oxygenase-1) gene in a mouse by using the transgenic technology. The transgenic mouse automatically forms the Alzheimer disease tau pathology, which is an ideal animal model for researching the generation mechanism of neurofibrillary tangles as a typical pathologic symbol of Alzheimer disease.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of biotechnology, in particular to a method for establishing a pathological model of Alzheimer's disease based on transgenic technology. Background technique [0002] Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease with unknown etiology, also known as senile dementia. With the aging of the world's population, the prevalence of AD is increasing year by year, and the treatment cost of AD patients is astonishing, causing a great burden to the society. There are a large number of neurofibrillary tangles (neurofibrillary tangles, NFT) in the cerebral cortex and hippocampal neurons of AD patients, which is one of the important histopathological signs of AD. NFT is formed by the accumulation of highly phosphorylated tau protein. So far, the pathogenesis of AD and the typical pathological sign of AD—the mechanism of NFT phenomenon have not been elucidated, which has caused great difficulties in the preve...
