Embodiment Construction

[0037] Embodiments of the present invention will be further described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0038] figure 1 It is a schematic diagram of the refractive index cross-sectional structure of the double-coated bend-insensitive multimode fiber according to Embodiment 1 of the present invention. The solid line in the figure represents the refractive index structure of the silica glass core and cladding, and the dotted line represents the refractive index structure of the inner and outer coatings in the optical fiber. Δ1 represents the relative refractive index difference in the center of the doped silica glass core, and the relative refractive index difference of the silica glass cladding in this structure is 0; δ1 and δ2 represent the relative refractive indices of the inner and outer coatings, respectively. R1 and R2 represent the radii of the fiber core and cladding, respectively, and r1 and r2 represent the radii of the inner and outer coatings, ...

Abstract

The invention relates to a bending-resistant multi-mode fiber used in an access network or a miniature optical device. The bending-resistant multi-mode fiber comprises an optical fiber and a coating coated on the outer surface of the optical fiber, wherein the fiber consists of a quartz glass core layer which has a section structure with a parabolic shape or step-type refraction index and a quartz glass cladding which surrounds the core layer. The optical fiber is characterized in that: the core layer has a diameter of between 20 and 200 mu m and consists of a germanium-and-fluorine-doped quartz glass material; and double solidified polymer coatings are coated out of the cladding, wherein an inner coating coated on the outer surface of the cladding is a low-refraction index flexible polymer coating while an outer coating is a high-Young's modulus polymer coating. Because of the design of the low-refraction index inner coating, an internal stress of the optical fiber is avoided, the mechanical performance of the optical fiber is greatly improved, and the use performance and the service life of the optical fiber working in a small-radius bending state are ensured. The bending-resistant multi-mode fiber has high bending-resistant performance; and at a wavelength of 850 nm, the additional attenuation of the bending caused by winding 1 circle with a bending radius of 10 mm is less than or equal to 0.15 dB. The bending-resistant multi-mode fiber has the characteristic of simple, convenient and effective manufacturing method, and is suitable for large-scale production.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a bending-resistant multimode optical fiber used in access networks or miniaturized optical devices, in particular to an optical fiber with relatively low bending additional attenuation, which belongs to the technical field of optical communication. Background technique [0002] In recent years, with the development of communication technology and the rise of integrated miniaturized optical devices, multimode optical fibers in applications are often laid in smaller and smaller bending channels and wound in small storage boxes with smaller and smaller spaces, such as telecommunication distribution Cable boxes, data center cabinets, etc. In this case, the optical fiber will often encounter small angle bends. When the traditional optical fiber is bent at a small angle, the high-order modes transmitted close to the core boundary of the multimode fiber can easily leak out of the core when the fiber is bent, resulting in signal loss ...
