Problems solved by technology

[0015] This method is because the amount of urea used is more, so the productive rate of making ammonium polyphosphate is not high, about 50%, what this method generally obtains is I type ammonium polyphosphate and II type ammonium polyphosphate mixture, and The obtained ammonium polyphosphate is more water soluble

Embodiment 1

[0043]Example 1: 1059 grams of phosphorus pentoxide, 984 grams of diammonium hydrogen phosphate, and 134 grams of urea were added to a reaction kettle, stirred, pulverized, and ground. Then heat up 218 grams of montmorillonite in the reaction ax to 250°C and start passing ammonia, maintain the ammonia pressure as normal pressure, then continue to heat up to 300°C, and ammoniate for 90 minutes to obtain ammonium polyphosphate and montmorillonite nanocomposites, wherein The montmorillonite was completely exfoliated, and the purity of the crystalline type I ammonium polyphosphate was 100%.

Embodiment 2

[0044] Example 2: 923 grams of phosphorus pentoxide, 858 grams of diammonium hydrogen phosphate, and urea 117 are added to the reactor, and when the temperature is raised to 100° C., 190 grams of montmorillonite is added to the reaction system, and the temperature is raised to 250° C. The ammonia pressure is 0.1 MPa, and then continue to heat up to 300°C, and ammonium for 90 minutes to obtain ammonium polyphosphate and montmorillonite nanocomposite, in which the montmorillonite is completely peeled off, and the purity of crystalline type I ammonium polyphosphate is 100%.

Embodiment 3

[0045] Example 3: 472 grams of phosphorus pentoxide, 439 grams of diammonium hydrogen phosphate, and 60 grams of urea were added to the reactor, and when the temperature was raised to 120° C., 146 grams of montmorillonite was added to the reaction system, and the temperature was raised to 250° C. to start passing ammonia. Maintain ammonia pressure to be normal pressure, continue to heat up to 300 ℃ then, ammonium 90 minutes, the purity of the crystalline type I ammonium polyphosphate obtained is 100% (its X-ray diffraction pattern is as follows figure 2 shown).

Abstract

The invention relates to an ammonium polyphosphate and montmorillonite nano compound and a preparation method thereof, which belong to the phosphorous compound preparation, composition, modification and crystalline control field. The method for preparing the nano compound comprises the following steps: montmorillonite is added during the preliminary stage of the process of general preparation of ammonium polyphosphate; ammonia is passed through when the temperature is raised to between 150 and 300 DEG C; heat preservation is performed when the temperature is raised to between 300 and 350 DEG C; and then the ammonium polyphosphate and montmorillonite nano compound are obtained after continuous ammoniation for 30 to 200 minutes. The preparation method controls the purity of an I-type polyphosphoric acid in the product through addition of a specific amount of the montmorillonite; the ammonium polyphosphate completely off a silicate slice of the montmorillonite; and nano-dispersion is formed in the ammonium polyphosphate, and then the ammonium polyphosphate and montmorillonite nano compound is obtained. The nano compound reduces the water solubility of the ammonium polyphosphate, has the function of improving the flame-retardant effect in inflaming retarding of polymer materials, and has the advantages of simple preparation technology and raw materials and low cost.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a nanocomposite of ammonium polyphosphate and montmorillonite and a preparation method thereof, belonging to the field of preparation, compounding, modification and crystal form control of phosphorus compounds. Background technique [0002] Ammonium polyphosphate (ammonium polyphosphate), abbreviated as APP, its general formula is (NH 4 ) n+2 P n o 3n+1 , when n is large enough, it can be written (NH 4 PO 3 ) n , whose structure is as follows. [0003] [0004] Ammonium polyphosphate is white powder, long-chain ammonium polyphosphate is difficult to dissolve in water, and the solubility of general industrial ammonium polyphosphate in water is 1.3 g / 100 ml (15°C) or 3.0 g / 100 ml (25°C). The hygroscopicity of ammonium polyphosphate decreases with the increase of the degree of polymerization, and the hygroscopicity of industrial ammonium polyphosphate is less than 10% when stored in air at 25°C and relative humidity grea...
