The embodiment of the invention provides a load balance method and a
base station, and aims to realize load balance of CCs (Component Carriers) under the same
base station in order to avoid control
resource reallocation due to load imbalance of the CCs, ensure that users or services can be scheduled in time, and ensure the user
communication quality. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a resource occupation rate of a serving
cell of UE (
User Equipment); if the resource occupation rate of the serving
cell of the UE is determined to surpass a preset threshold, determining a target
base station which conforms to a condition from base stations to which neighbor cells of the serving
cell belong, wherein the
signal quality of the UE under the target base
station is superior to the
signal quality of the UE under the base
station to which the serving cell belongs, a quantity of carriers for the UE to perform carrier aggregation under the target base
station is greater than a quantity of carriers for the UE to perform carrier aggregation under the base station to which the serving cell belongs at present, and the resource occupation rates of at least two cells in which the UE can perform carrier aggregation under the target base station are smaller than the preset threshold; and switching the UE under the target base station. The load balance method and the base station are suitable for the technical field of communications.
