A set of eyewear is provided for use with prescription spectacles. The design comprises a plurality of selecting devices formed and configured to be attached to the spectacles to provide stereoscopic viewing of images when worn by a user wearing the spectacles. The eyewear comprises a substrate forming a first selector device and a second selector device, and optical materials provided on the substrate. The optical materials comprise first optical material associated with the first selector device and providing a first orientation along a first axis and second optical material associated with the second selector device and providing a second orientation along a second axis substantially orthogonal to the first axis. The substrate and optical materials are configured to be fixedly mountable to the spectacles.

The headgear with eyewear attachment is a device that allows a user to wear and interchange eyewear that is attached to a headgear. The eyewear is attached to the visor of the headgear by a removably attachable fastener that can be separated when desired. The headgear may be any sort of hat or headband having a visor. Optical mold inserts are configured to the corrective vision magnification levels, and positioned to correspond with respective first and second viewing portions of the central portion. The mold is further configured with the temples each having a respective radius of curvature of a first value, and the viewing portions each having a respective radius of curvature of a second value less than the first value, wherein the mold defines a smoothly graduating but substantially continuous upper edge arcuate interior perimeter. A thermoplastic material is injected into the mold to form a unitary hairband which may be used as prescription eyewear.

Systems and methods for tracking gaze information of a user includes detecting, by a sensor of a head mounted display, that a user is wearing the HMD. An encoded signal indicative of glasses being worn with the HMD, by the user, is detected by the sensor of the HMD. In response to processing the encoded signal, a gaze detection function of the HMD is disabled by the HMD. Encoded gaze data transmitted by the glasses is received by the HMD. The encoded gaze data is processed by an image frame processor and used to adjust image frames produced for rendering on a display screen of the HMD.

Accurate measurement of pupillary distance, PD, is necessary to make prescription eye glasses as well as configuring VR headsets, and using other binocular optical devices.
