A device for correcting an ingrown nail surely by a simple operation in a short time period of about 30 min to one hour without inflicting a pain on a patient. The invention belongs to the related technical field of ingrown nails, and discloses a biomechanics-based ingrown nail prediction method, which comprises the following steps of: (1) determining a strain energy function and a growth driving equation of a nail wrinkle so as to construct a nail wrinkle growth model; constructing a deck reconstruction model based on a bone adaptive growth theory, wherein the nail wrinkle growth model and the deck reconstruction model form a material model of the toenail and the deck reconstruction model takes the strain energy density as mechanical excitation; (2)determining materials and growth parameters of the toenails based on the sample data of the toenails, constructing a toenail three-dimensional model, and adding the material model into the toenail three-dimensional model to obtain a toenail finite element model; and (3) inputting the parameters of the toenail to be predicted into the finite element model of the toenail, and simulating the growthprocess of the toenail by the finite element model of the toenail based on the received parameter data so as to realize prediction of the ingrown nail. The coupling effect of the deck and the nail wrinkle is considered, and the accuracy is high.

Anchor and brace for correcting ingrown nails

System, devices, and methods for correcting ingrown nails are disclosed. A system includes a first anchor and a second anchor configured to be coupled to opposing sides of an ingrown nail of an end user. A first brace and a second brace are configured to be removably coupled to respective ones of the first and second anchors. An elastic loop is secured between the protrusions of the braces to apply continuous tension to the braces. The tension is distributed to the nail through the anchors to which the braces are coupled. The amount of tension applied to the nail can be selected by selecting different elastic loops to attach to the braces. The tension provided by the elastic loops corrects the ingrown nail over time without pain to the user.

A device and method for treating an ingrown nail condition is provided. The method prevents a phenol solution that is applied during a P & A procedure from coming into contact with the surrounding skin and nail bed. The device is essentially a plastic tube which comes in different lengths and widths and has a specially shaped aperture located at one end. A stick-shaped cotton applicator is inserted through the tube so as to ensure direct application of the phenol solution onto only the nail matrix.
