Abstract

The invention discloses a high-water-resistance silicate coating and a preparation method thereof. The coating is composed of a film-forming substance modified potassium silicate resin, a high-temperature-resistant pigment, a filler, an auxiliary agent and water. The preparation method of the coating comprises the steps: firstly, preparing modified potassium silicate resin from water-borne epoxy resin, a silane coupling agent, isopropyl-ketone, magnesium oxide, potassium silicate, silica sol and deionized water according to a specific ratio and steps; treating pigment filler in a specific way; and dispersing and grinding the prepared modified potassium silicate resin, a water repellent agent, the treated high-temperature-resistant pigment and a metal oxide, and finally adding an auxiliary agent and water for stirring to prepare the high-water-resistance silicate coating. The coating is convenient to construct, low in coating VOC emission, high in adhesive force and high in water resistance, and is an excellent choice for coating in the field of water resistance.
