Abstract

A method for preparing bismuth chlorofluorotantalate, comprising: dissolving, in alcohol, bismuth nitrate and ammonium fluoride, then adjusting the pH to 6-7, reacting at 20-30°C, and calcining precipitates obtained after the reaction at 400-450°C, so as to obtain BiOF; and uniformly mixing TaCl5 and the calcined product BiOF, then calcining at 950-1100°C, and cooling same to obtain bismuth chlorofluorotantalate, the chemical formula thereof being BiTa2O6(F,Cl); the molar ratio of the calcined product BiOF and the tantalum chloride is 1:2. The bismuth chlorofluorotantalate prepared has a formula of BiTa2O6(F,Cl), and can be used as a photocatalyst.
