The (+ / -) Myrtucyclitone C and the (+ / -) Myrtucyclitone D are cyclopolyketone-phloroglucinol-cyclopolyketone trimers, which are composed of 38 carbon atoms, wherein one cyclopolyketone fragment is subjected to rearrangement. The phloroglucinol derivatives are chemical entities having novel framework structures.
