Problems solved by technology

Fiber braided rope has the advantages of high tensile strength, wear resistance, and simple processing technology, but the processing technology of sparse wrapping determines that fiber braided rope cannot play a good role in water resistance.
After the submarine cable is laid underwater, the steel wire armor layer will be directly exposed to the water. Although the current industry uses galvanized armored steel wires before production and coating asphalt on the armored layer during the production process to alleviate the armored steel wires. The extent of water corrosion, but related studies have shown that the failure period of the armored steel wire is still far less than the design life of the submarine cable itself. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop an effective waterproof method to solve the problem of submarine cable armored steel wire

Embodiment 1

[0020] A production process for the outer sheath of a submarine cable armored steel wire, comprising the steps of unwinding the steel wire, straightening the steel wire, coating hot melt adhesive, extruding the outer sheath, cooling the outer sheath, detecting power frequency sparks, and taking up the steel wire:

[0021] The steel wire pay-off uses a plate that meets the steel wire loading requirements, and uses a pay-off rack with a stable rotation speed to rotate the pay-off;

[0022] The straightening of the steel wire is carried out by straightening rollers, the middle of the straightening rollers contains grooves, and includes a variety of different specifications to meet the straightening needs of steel wires with different pay-off heights and different diameters;

[0023] The hot-melt adhesive coating process is carried out by using an electric heating glue coating cylinder. The hot-melt adhesive is heated to 180±10°C in advance to make the hot-melt adhesive have good f...

Abstract

The invention discloses a production process for an armored steel wire outer protection layer of a submarine cable. The production process comprises the steps of steel wire unwinding, steel wire straightening, hot melt glue coating, outer protection layer extruding, outer protection layer cooling, a power-frequency spark detection and steel wire winding, wherein in the steel wire unwinding, a disc conforming to the requirement of steel wire disc filling is used, and rotation unwinding is fulfilled by an unwinding rack with a stable rotation speed; the steel wire straightening is fulfilled by using a straightening roller, a groove is formed at the middle of the straightening roller, and various different specifications of the straightening rollers are contained; in the hot melt glue coating, hot melt glue is heated in advance and preserved continuously by using an electric heating glue addition cylinder, so that the hot melt glue has favorable mobility and flows into a coating cylinder for coating a steel wire; and in the outer protection layer extruding, plastic extruding machines conforming to the requirements of the steel wires with different diameters are used. The process is safe and reliable, the waterproof requirement of the armored steel wire can be met, the steel wire is prevented from being corroded by an underwater environment, the armored layer is enabled to have favorable mechanical property during the long-term running process of the submarine cable under the water, and thus, the service lifetime of the submarine cable is relatively prolonged.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a submarine cable production process, in particular to a production process for a submarine cable armored steel wire outer sheath. Background technique [0002] With my country's vigorous development of the marine industry and the implementation of the strategic policy of building a powerful marine country, the construction of offshore wind power, offshore oil and gas, and island power grids have entered a period of rapid development. The demand for applications has also increased dramatically. [0003] Since submarine cables are mostly used underwater, they are quite different from land cables in terms of structural design and performance requirements. First of all, submarine cables have extremely stringent requirements for water-blocking performance. Good water-blocking performance is required from the cable conductor to the plastic sheath, from the radial direction to the longitudinal direction. Secondly, different from the...
