The invention further discloses a preparation method of the composite roll outer periphery material, and the method includes: dispersing the high-aluminum fibers or the polycrystalline mullite fibers in water, and then adding the residual raw materials to stir for 5-60 minutes; and forming by means of pressure filtration or suction filtration, drying in shade and conserving for 8-72 hours, and curing for 2-48 hours at the temperature of 80-160 DEG C.
