Abstract

The invention discloses a reinforced nylon composite material for sound absorption damping and a preparation method thereof. The composite material comprises the following components in parts by weight: 30-60 parts of nylon resin, 10-30 parts of aramid chopped fibers, 5-20 parts of a toughening agent and 0.5-2 parts of an antioxidant. The aramid fibers and the viscoelastic toughening agent have astrong sound absorption effect, especially high-frequency noise. When sound waves are transmitted into the composite material, mechanical energy of vibration is converted into heat energy due to the fact that the viscoelastic toughening agent has high loss modulus. The aramid fibers further limit the vibration of the sound wave, so that the sound absorption and damping effects are achieved. The reinforced nylon composite material for sound absorption damping and the preparation method thereof are suitable for electronic appliances and automobile products with high requirements on sound insulation, and have the advantages that the injection molding can be directly carried out, and the molding process is simplified.
