Abstract

The invention provides a composite modified asphalt based on SEBS and rubber powder and a preparation method thereof. The composite modified asphalt is prepared from the following components in partsby weight: 100 parts of No.90 base asphalt, 8 to 15 parts of rubber powder and 5 parts of SEBS. By adding the rubber powder, the viscosity and plasticity of the composite modified asphalt prepared bythe invention are increased, the stability and heat resistance of the modified asphalt are increased by adding the SEBS, and thereby the SEBS-modified asphalt has excellent properties, such as aging resistance and fatigue resistance; therefore, the composite modification effect of the SEBS and the rubber powder changes the physical properties, temperature sensitivity, cohesiveness and durability of the base asphalt material, increasing the high and low temperature properties and durable and stable properties of the asphalt; and when applied on a road, the composite modified asphalt can prolongthe service life of the pavement and reduce maintenance cost.
