Abstract

The invention mainly belongs to the field of electrolysis of metal titanium through molten salt, and particularly relates to a method for measuring the concentration of low-valent titanium ions. The method is used for measuring the concentrations of titanium ions in various valence states in a mixed electrolyte through a molten salt electrolysis process, and the valence state of the titanium ions in the mixed electrolyte is Ti<n+>(n=2, 3, 4). The method comprises the following steps: (1) measuring the concentration W1 of Ti<2+> in the mixed electrolyte through a hydrogen measurement method; (2) measuring the concentration W2 in the mixed electrolyte through ammonium ferric sulfate titrimetry based on a solution subjected to hydrogen measurement, wherein the concentration of Ti<3+> is equal to a value obtained by subtracting W1 from W2; and (3) measuring the concentration of Ti<4+> through spectrophotometry. The method can be used for measuring the concentrations of the low-valent titanium ions in various valence states through the molten salt electrolysis process, so as to obtain a relatively stable electrolyte system and guide metal electrolysis preparation or metal titanium electrolysis and refining industrial production.
