The preparing method includes the steps that ingredients are put into a medium-frequency induction furnace to be melted; rapid-hardening pouring is carried out on a melted solution to obtain rapidly-hardened melt-spun sheets; the rapidly-hardened melt-spun sheets are taken out after being cooled; the rapidly-hardened melt-spun sheets are thermally treated within the temperature ranging from room temperature to 1000 DEG C and crushed, crushed powder is screened, magnetic property parameters such as saturation magnetization intensity, residual magnetism and coercive force are detected, and electromagnetic parameters and the reflectivity R of the powder are tested; a wave absorbing material is obtained, and the wave absorbing material has good microwave absorption characteristic within the microwave band of 2-18 GHz and has multiple absorption peaks.
