Abstract

The invention relates to crosslinkable compositions of silane-crosslinking prepolymers comprising (A) 100 parts by weight of silane-crosslinking polymers of the formula (I): Y-[(CR1 2)b-SiRa(OR2)3-a]x, where the radicals and indices are each as defined in claim 1, (B) 5 to 100 parts by weight of fumed silica comprising (B1) fumed hydrophilic silica and (B2) fumed hydrophobic silica, with the proviso that (B1) and (B2) are used in a mass ratio of 10:1 to 1:10, to processes for production thereof and to the use thereof as adhesives and sealants, especially for bonding of substrates.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a crosslinkable composition of a silane crosslinked prepolymer, to a process for preparing the composition and to its use as adhesives and sealants, especially for bonding substrates. Background technique [0002] Polymer systems with reactive alkoxysilyl groups have long been known. When exposed to water or air humidity, these alkoxysilane-terminated polymers can polycondensate with each other by eliminating alkoxy groups even at room temperature. One of the most important applications of such materials is the production of adhesives, especially elastic binder systems. [0003] Thus, adhesives based on alkoxysilane crosslinked polymers in the cured state exhibit not only good adhesion to some substrates, but very good adhesion as they can be both tear-resistant and highly elastic mechanical properties. A further key advantage of silane crosslinker systems over many other adhesive and sealant technologies (eg over is...
