The artificial jade is characterized by being prepared from all or part of the following raw materials: gangue, quartz powder, alumina or aluminium hydroxide, zinc oxide, sodium carbonate, magnesium oxide, borax, sodium silicate, calcium oxide or calcium carbonate, titanium dioxide, potassium carbonate, talcum powder, manganese dioxide, copper oxide and iron trioxide. The method comprises the following preparation steps: (1) weighing; (2) smashing and grinding; (3) mixing and stirring; (4) smelting; and (5) carving, abrading and polishing. The artificial jade prepared by the method has delicate and tough texture, mild and soft luster and good mechanical property, can be used in such fields as jewelry, handicrafts and the like, and has broad application prospects.
