Abstract

The invention discloses a control device for an escalator and an automatic sidewalk, comprising a rectifier device assembly, an inverter device assembly, a motor, a microprocessor operating system, a current transformer and a pedestrian detection device at escalator top and bottom entry. The current transformer and the pedestrian detection device are used for estimating an escalator load factor, automatically changing operation speed of the escalator and the automatic sidewalk according to difference of the escalator load factors, and increasing the escalator speed to exceed a rated speed in heavy load. The no-load energy saving function of the escalator and the automatic sidewalk can be achieved, the pedestrian conveying capability when the escalator is under a heavy load can be increased, and the energy can be saved furthest in a light load.
