Abstract

The invention discloses an ultralow-delay high-performance network protocol stack processing method and system, and relates to the technical field of computer transmission networks. The method comprises the steps of building a system architecture which does not need memory copying and kernel processing; executing a network protocol stack processing mechanism optimization strategy applied to a protocol stack interaction layer based on the system architecture; further adopting a hardware pipeline and software multi-thread technology to realize delay hiding of the network protocol stack and realize ASIC hardening of the protocol stack; and adopting an ASIC network protocol stack implementation strategy based on OOHLS to comprehensively optimize a hardware implementation strategy of the protocol stack at a high level. According to the invention, the copying and moving operations of a large amount of data and the interrupt overhead of the processor can be reduced from the system software level, and the protocol stack hardening implementation strategy is further optimized, so that the processing time consumption of the network protocol stack is overcome, the ASIC implementation efficiency is quickly improved, and the performance of the network transmission system and the ASIC development efficiency at a service level are greatly improved.

Description

technical field [0001] Embodiments of the present invention relate to the field of computer network processing, and in particular to an ultra-low-latency, high-performance network protocol stack processing method and system. Background technique [0002] The original intention of the design of the network protocol stack is to provide reliable and secure logical links between processes, and to provide reliable network transmission services on this basis. It should be emphasized that TCP does not make any assumptions about the network, and its main function is to provide reliable logical links. In order to be able to communicate reliably on an unreliable network, the network protocol stack must provide the following functions: be able to perform basic data transmission, ensure data reliability, perform appropriate flow control, maintain a collection of communication states, use parallel multi-channel technology and to ensure the prioritization and security of communications. ...
