The method herein comprises: acquiring a pulse signal of a radioactive substance through a semiconductor and a scintillant crystal detector; filtering the signal, amplifying the filtered signal, and carrying out ADC (analog-digital conversion) to obtain a digital signal; inputting thedigital signal to an FPGA (field programmable gate array) chip, and detecting whether the input signal reaches a threshold so as to determine an applicable detector; counting wavelengths of the inputsignal through a CPU (central processing unit), and processing to obtain a current nuclide dose rate; acquiring attitudes, directions, coordinate and other information of the device herein in different positions in a same sea area through an altitude sensor, a direction sensor and a global positioning system in combination with certain motion strategies; calculating and simulating to obtain an isodose rate plane and gradient of nuclear contamination through these information and the nuclide dose rate of contamination sources; determining an azimuth of the contamination sources in an incident sea area finally according to the gradient direction.
