Abstract

The invention discloses an adaptive power amplification method and apparatus, and a broadband power amplifier. The method comprises the following steps: performing preceding stage power amplificationon an input radio frequency signal; adaptively selecting a preset narrowband signal channel corresponding to a frequency band range contained in the radio frequency signal by the radio frequency signal subjected to the preceding stage power amplification so as to output frequency division signals; performing power amplification on each frequency division signal; and performing frequency combination on all frequency division signals subjected to the power amplification to output a frequency combination signal. The method can be applied to broadband power amplifiers of any frequency band and anypower grade, so that the application range is wide; and the output power, the output efficiency, the gain and other performance indexes of the broadband power amplifier designed by using the method are improved.
