The invention provides an LMT configuration file smooth upgrade method comprising the following steps: upgrading the version of a base station, and saving an original configuration file to a flash memory of the base station; setting an LMT configuration file smooth upgrade identifier, and restarting the base station; judging whether the configuration file smooth upgrade identifier is set, and if the configuration file smooth upgrade identifier is set, smoothly upgrading a script file, parsing new and old versions of configuration data files, and saving data configurations needing transplantation to the new data configuration file in turn according to the parsing result; migrating the original configuration file in the flash memory to a backup folder; and starting other processes after base station upgrade. By using the method, a data configuration file and a script file can be automatically and smoothly upgraded after a base station is upgraded and restarted, an LMT configuration file can be upgraded conveniently and quickly, the operation complexity of base station configuration file upgrade is lowered, and the possibility of human error caused by operation mistakes of customer service personnel is reduced.
