The method comprises the steps of firstly, placing sodium oxide, tellurium dioxide, tungsten trioxide, silica and oxide additives in a blender mixer, and uniformly mixing up the above materials to obtain a water-quenched glass frit; secondly, grinding the above water-quenched glass frit in an alcohol system inside a planet type grinding machine to obtain glass powder; thirdly, adding an organic solvent, ethyl cellulose, butyl cellulose and hydroxy cellulose, and stirring to obtain a carrier; fourthly, adding a silver conductive phase, the above glass powder and the above carrier, uniformly stirring the above materials, grinding and filtering the mixture to obtain the front electrode silver paste of a lead-free solar cell. The silver conductive phase comprises the following components in mass percentage: 6-12% of flake silver powder, 80-90% of ball silver powder and 3-8% of nanometer silver powder. According to the technical scheme of the invention, not only the fineness of printed graphics is improved, but also the metal grid lines of electrodes are good in conductive performance.
