The process is characterized by using a mixture of ethylene glycol and an ionic liquid as an extractant, which is added from the upper end of an extractive distillation column; a tert-butyl alcohol-methyl propionate azeotrope is added to the kettle; by adjusting the reflux ratio, the quality of the product is controlled; and the product of methyl propionate, a methyl propionate-tert-butyl alcohol transition fraction, a tert-butyl alcohol products, and a tert-butyl alcohol-glycol transition fraction can be obtained from the top of the tower.
