Problems solved by technology

[0002] In the traditional method of hydrogenating castor oil to prepare 12-hydroxystearic acid, there is no decolorization treatment, so the produced 12-hydroxystearic acid has a yellow appearance, and the yellow color of 12-hydroxystearic acid is because castor oil The pigments contained in these pigments have unsaturated bonds and more active groups, and it is these unsaturated bonds and more active groups that make the pigments produce colors

Abstract

The invention belongs to the field of stearic acid preparation, and in particular relates to a method for preparing 12-hydroxy stearic acid through utilizing hydrogenerated castor oil as a raw material. The method comprises steps of: utilizing the hydrogenerated castor oil as the raw material, saponifying, acidizing, washing, dehydrating and slicing to obtain a 12-hydroxy stearic acid product. The method is characterized by further comprising a decolorizing step after the washing step, wherein hydrogen peroxide is served as a decolorizing agent so as to complete a 12-hydroxy stearic acid decolorizing process. Compared with a conventional method, the method has an additional decolorizing step, the hydrogen peroxide is served as the decolorizing agent, other foreign ions are not introduced, and the generated product after final reaction is water which can be removed through dehydration, so that the product quality cannot be influenced; moreover, the decolorizing agent cannot damage the hydroxyl of the 12-hydroxy stearic acid.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of preparation of stearic acid, and in particular relates to a method for preparing 12-hydroxystearic acid by using hydrogenated castor oil as a raw material. Background technique [0002] In the method for preparing 12-hydroxystearic acid from traditional hydrogenated castor oil, it has not undergone decolorization treatment, so the appearance color of the 12-hydroxystearic acid produced is yellow, and the color of 12-hydroxystearic acid is yellow because of castor oil. These pigments contain unsaturated bonds and more active groups, and it is these unsaturated bonds and more active groups that make the pigments produce color. The conjugated system and more active groups of the pigment are unstable and the structure is prone to change, which not only affects the quality of 12-hydroxystearic acid itself, but also affects the quality of downstream products such as lithium-based grease. Therefore, The research on 12-hy...
