Abstract

The invention discloses application of a Klotho adeno-associated virus to preparation of a medicine for treating hypertensive heart disease of a spontaneous hypertensive rat (SHR). Experimental research results show that further rising of blood pressure of the SHR can be controlled through Klotho gene transduction, so that damage to the heart of the SHR suffering from hypertensive heart disease is reduced, namely the heart of the SHR can be continuously protected for at least 12 weeks. The Klotho adeno-associated virus can be fully applied to preparation of the medicine for treating hypertensive heart disease of the SHR so as to treat hypertension and related cardiovascular disease.
