A vehicle system is disclosed that includes a vehicle lamp assembly including a plurality of LEDs that emit white light so as to function as an illuminator light. The lamp assembly also may include a plurality of LEDs that emit colored light to function as a signal light. The lamp assembly may include a camera. The lamp assembly may serve as a CHMSL or as a tail light. The system also includes a controller that rapidly pulses the LEDs at a rate that is imperceivable by the human eye. The pulsing intervals of the LEDs may be related to the readout intervals of the camera sensor array. In this manner, the LEDs may be pulsed on during camera readout to increase the illumination while the camera is capturing an image, or may be pulsed off during camera readout to prevent feedback glare from interfering with image capture by the camera.

A lighting arrangement for the interior of an automotive vehicle in which the light source, such as an LED, is recessed into the interior structure of the vehicle and covered with a layer of fabric. The light source is invisible when not in use, but shines through the fabric/foam layer when illuminated, and can be associated with a light transmitting member, such as a light bar and a light pipe. Such lighting arrangements can be disposed within the headliner to direct light where desired and for different functions, such as a map light or for area lighting. An illuminated mirror unit for motor vehicles, in particular for sun visors, removably or fixedly mounted in the interior of a motor vehicle, comprising at least one mirror with electrical illumination means for illuminating said at least one mirror wherein said electrical illumination means are light-emitting diodes (LED). Therefore, an image can be transformed into a high-resolution enlarged image with an edge area expressed clearly.

An illuminated mirror assembly for an automotive visor includes a mirror and a light-transmitting prism. The prism has a first portion exposed to a light source and a second portion positioned adjacent a reflective surface of the mirror. Light from the source is transmitted through the prism to illuminate objects positioned in front of the reflective surface. In one embodiment, the prism and a housing are integrally formed around the mirror in a two-shot molding operation.

The switch causes at least one energy source that is independent of the electrical system of the vehicle to generate a first voltage signal. The regulator circuit is operably coupled to the switch and to the energy source for transmitting a second voltage signal in response to the first voltage signal so that the light source receives the second voltage signal. The timer is powered by the energy source for causing the regulator circuit to disable the operation of transmitting the second voltage signal in response to the timer achieving a predetermined count value.

The present disclosure provides a mirror device with illumination comprising a transparent conductive substrate, an isolation layer, a mirror layer and a light emitting diode (LED) layer. The isolation layer, formed on a surface of the transparent conductive substrate, divides the surface of the transparent conductive substrate into at least one first region and at least one second region. A vehicle sun visor system and method for powering the vehicle sun visor are provided herein, and include a generator configured to produce a first current via kinetic motion. A converter is electrically coupled to the generator and configured to convert the first current into a second current. An energy storing device is electrically coupled to the converter and configured to store an electrical charge. An illumination source is electrically coupled to the energy storing device and configured to operate between an ON and an OFF state, wherein during the ON state, the electrical charge stored in the energy storing device is discharged to supply electrical power to the illumination source.
