The thermal insulation mortar is characterized by being prepared from the following raw materials inparts by mass: 100 parts of sulphoaluminate cement, 10 to 30 parts of polymer emulsion, 10 to 30 parts of the modified papermaking sludge particles, 3 to 5 parts of polystyrene particles, 7 to 9 partsof vitrified micro-beads, 0.4 to 0.6 part of sodium polyacrylate, 0.2 to 0.4 part of an air entraining agent, 0.5 to 0.7 part of a polycarboxylic acid water reducer and a proper amount of water. According to the thermal insulation mortar utilizing the modified papermaking sludge particles, disclosed by the invention, advantages of papermaking sludge components is utilized; after being decomposedat high temperature, the papermaking sludge particles are ground; then the papermaking sludge particles are sufficiently dispersed and modified through a sodium polyacrylate solution and the polymer emulsion; wastes including the papermaking sludge particles and the like can be cyclically utilized so that the cost is reduced; properties including the strength and water absorption rate of the thermal insulation mortar also can be improved.
