Abstract

The invention discloses a texture synthesis-based robust steganographic method. The method comprises the steps of firstly, capturing a certain quantity of candidate blocks from a source texture image to embed secret information; secondly, according to a key, drawing the candidate blocks in a blank canvas; and finally, selecting the proper candidate blocks to synthesize a texture image, and constructing a texture image with a relatively good visual effect. At a receiving end, a receiver determines the positions of the candidate blocks on the canvas according to the key, and the original secret information is extracted according to the complexity of the candidate blocks. The steganographic texture image synthesized with the method well reserves the style of the original texture image; the size of the texture image can be proportionally adjusted according to the capacity of the embedded information so as to realize high embedding rate; and due to the complexity of texture blocks, the secret information contained in the texture image is slightly changed after image compression, and a steganographic algorithm can resist JPEG image compression, so that the robustness of the steganographic image can be improved.
