Abstract

The invention discloses a water-soluble sizing agent composition for carbon fibers. The water-soluble sizing agent composition is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 2.5 to 6 percent of oxidized starch, 0.25 to 2 percent of isomaltooligosaccharide, 0.25 to 2 percent of glycerinum, 1 to 6 percent of lauryl betaine or cocoamidopropyl betaine and 84 to 96 percent of water. According to the composition disclosed by the invention, the raw materials are low in price and are easily-obtained, and a preparation process is simple and environment-friendly; an existing carbon fiber sizing process can be adopted, and secondary pollution to the environment is avoided; the carbon fibers using the sizing agent have good bundling property and smoothness; after being placed into water, the composition can be dissolved within dozen seconds to several minutes. The composition is a green and environment-friendly sizing agent for water treatment of the carbon fibers.
