The metal ink comprises the following components in parts by weight: 40-70 parts of compound prepolymer, 15-30 parts of monomer, 2-6 parts of photoinitiator, 10-30 parts of pigment and 1-5 parts of additive, wherein the compound prepolymer is prepared by mixing aliphatic modified epoxy acrylic resin with polyurethane acrylic resin. The preparation method comprises the following steps: adding the compound prepolymer, the monomer, the pigment, the photoinitiator and the additive to an agitation barrel together according to the parts by weight and stirring and mixing the components for 1-2 hours under the conditions that the temperature is 25-30 DEG C and the rotate speed is 600-800r / min; then transferring the mixture to a three-roll grinder to be ground 3-5 times, and measuring the fineness of the system and controlling the fineness to be not more than 40mu m, thus preparing the UV offset metal ink.
