Abstract

The black dyeing process for the tussah silk textiles comprises the steps of pretreating, washing in warm water, washing in cold water, dyeing, washing in ammonium hydroxide, rinsing, soaping, rinsing, dewatering and drying. During pretreatment, hydrochloric acid can dissolve impurities on tussah silk so that the impurities are suspended in water and the tussah silk is cleaned, and therefore, the hydrochloric acid exerts a brightening function and also improves the dyeing rate.
