Abstract

The invention discloses a costuslactone composition for preventing skin photoaging and an application method of the costuslactone composition. The costuslactone composition is prepared by combining costene lactone and dehydro-costuslactone according to a mass ratio of 1: (0.4-2.5); when being used for preparing a cosmetic for preventing skin photoaging, the costuslactone composition can be prepared into lipidosome or nano emulsion with the particle size less than 200nm, and is further added into a cosmetic product. A UVB (Ultraviolet B) induced skin keratinocyte module experiment researches the expression influence of the costuslactone composition on key UVB costuslactone composition photoaging genes, and the experiment result shows that the costuslactone composition can effectively inhibit degradation of collagen and macrophage inflammatory reaction, and an effect of preventing skin photoaging is achieved. The costuslactone composition widely exists in essential oil of a traditional Chinese medicine saussurea costus, and the costuslactone composition can be directly added or the saussurea costus essential oil with the costuslactone composition of a certain ratio can be indirectly added into the cosmetic for preventing skin photoaging.
