The artwork imitation is made from a mixture which is formed by adopting graphite powder in the solution of sulfur, paraffin, polyethylene, mineral rubber (elaterite). The preparation method includes the steps as follows: firstly heating and melting the weighed sulfur and the weighed paraffin in a heating container; secondly adding the graphite powder, the polyethylene and the mineral rubber in sequence; and conducting stirring simultaneously when continuing heating, thus obtaining a uniformly mixed liquid slurry. The preparation technology is simple, the raw materials are easy to obtain, patterns are visual in colors and the chemical formula and the preparation method are suitable to the industrial production of the artwork imitation.
