Abstract

The invention relates to a nonlinear optical crystal molybdenum manganese selenite which is characterized in that the chemical formula of the nonlinear optical crystal is Mn(MoO3)(SeO3)(H2O); the molecular weight is 342.85; the crystal belongs to the orthorhombic system; the space group is Pmc21; and the unit cell parameters as follows: a=7.054(3), b=6.480(2), c=12.735(5), alpha=90 degrees, beta=90 degrees, gamma=90 degrees, V=582.1(4) and Z=4. The crystal is prepared by the hydrothermal method. The molybdenum manganese selenite, namely Mn(MoO3)(SeO3)(H2O) has good nonlinear optical property; and the power second harmonic generation (SHG) coefficient is as triple as potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to nonlinear optical material and its synthesis. Background technique [0002] Nonlinear optical crystals, with frequency doubling effect (SHG), have important application value in high-tech fields such as laser frequency conversion, electro-optical modulation, and photorefractive information processing. Nonlinear optical crystals have attracted extensive attention due to their excellent properties. Nonlinear optical materials are used in modern science and technology, especially in several military and civilian high-tech fields, such as submarine deep-water communication, laser blinding weapons, marine fish detection, optical disc recording, color laser printing, laser projection TV, optical computing and Optical fiber communication, etc., have a series of important applications. The nonlinear optical crystals currently used in practice include α-LiIO 3 , α-HIO 3 , KIO 3 , KH 2 PO 4 (KDP), KTiOPO 4 (KTP), LiNbO 3 (LNO) a...
