Problems solved by technology

[0007] However, since PEDOT is a polymer, a structure in which a conductive organic film made of PEDOT is placed on an electrode results in a slow deposition rate and low yield.
In addition, although a wet deposition method can be used, when a conductive organic film composed of PEDOT is formed by a wet method, organic layers such as an organic light-emitting layer are damaged by solvents
[0008] Structures in which organic covering films of materials such as propyne diamine derivatives, triamine derivatives, CBP or tris(8-hydroxyquinoline)aluminum complex (Alq3) are placed on the electrodes cannot compensate for the conductivity of the anode or cathode , this is due to the poor conductivity of these materials

Abstract

The invention discloses an organic electroluminescent device and a display. The organic electroluminescent device comprises an anode and a cathode made of inorganic conducting material, an organic emission functional layer interposed between the anode and the cathode and containing an organic emissive layer, and an organic electrode film in contact with an outer side of at least one of the anode and the cathode, wherein the organic electrode film is formed by using at least one of (I) a combination of a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon compound having a backbone of 3- to 7-membered rings, and a benzoimidazole derivative having a substituent in the benzene ring, and (II) an azatriphenylene derivative. The invention can form the organic electrode film by depositing quicker than evaporating polymer so as to promote the production efficiency and drive the organic electroluminescent device with the organic electrode film under a low voltage, therefore promoting the luminous efficiency of the organic electroluminescent device and promoting the display property of the display using the same.

Description

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] The present application contains subject matter related to the disclosure of Japanese Priority Patent Application JP 2009-092853 filed in the Japan Patent Office on Apr. 7, 2009, the entire content of which is hereby incorporated by reference. technical field [0003] The present invention relates to organic electroluminescent devices (also referred to as organic EL devices) and displays, in particular to organic electroluminescent devices and displays comprising thin electrodes protected by conductive organic materials and composed of inorganic materials. Background technique [0004] An organic electroluminescence device (also referred to as an organic EL device) utilizing electroluminescence (hereinafter referred to as "EL") of an organic material is configured to include an organic light-emitting functional layer provided between an anode and a cathode, which The organic hole transport layer and the organic light e...
