Abstract

A method for producing electrolytic manganese metal by using two ores and apparatus thereof are disclosed. The method comprises the following steps: leaching in sulfuric acid (5), purifying to remove iron (7), deeply purifying (18) and electrolyzing (25). The two ores are manganese oxide ore (1) containing 15~25% of Mn, and tailing pyrite (2) from non-ferrous metal ores dressing or primary pyrite (2). The apparatus comprises: milling device, leaching device, pressure filtering device, sulfurizing tank, purifying tank, deeply purifying tank, settling tank, air compressor, mixing kettle and electrolytic tank. The method and apparatus produce manganese sulfate solution meeting the requirement of electrolysis, thereby stabilizing electrolysis production and improving the quality of products.
