Benefits of technology

The present disclosure describes an optical image capturing system and lens that use a combination of refractive powers to increase the amount of light and improve image quality. The system can focus on both visible light and infrared light simultaneously and correct optical distortion and TV distortion. The lens elements have inflection points to effectively adjust the angle of incidence and acquire better imaging quality. The system has a reduced horizontal distance and allows for other optical elements to be accommodated. The lens elements are designed to have weak refractive power to minimize aberration and facilitate fine tuning. The sixth lens element has negative refractive power and a concave image-side surface to reduce the back focal length and suppress aberration in off-axis fields of view.

Problems solved by technology

But the optical image capturing system with the large aperture design often produces more aberration resulting in the deterioration of quality in peripherical image formation and difficulties of manufacturing, and the optical image capturing system with wide view angle design increases distortion rate in image formation, thus the optical image capturing system in prior arts cannot meet the requirement of the higher order camera lens module.
Therefore, how to effectively increase quantity of incoming light and view angle of the optical lenses, not only further improves total pixels and imaging quality for the image formation, but also considers the equity design of the miniaturized optical lenses, becomes a quite important issue.
