Problems solved by technology

Second, since the continuous phase is oil and not water, it does not expose the water to the ignition source first, and therefore does not immediately cool the intake air, resulting in a low effect of the water in the emulsion to produce clean combustion
Third, due to stability issues, the content of organic oxides in this type of system is limited
Compared with standard fuels, the disadvantage of this type of emulsified fuel is that the power is sluggish, especially in conditions where there is no power loss (such as non-stationary engines), this disadvantage is more prominent

Embodiment 1~24 and comparative example A to C

[0029] Dual fluid fuel compositions were prepared in 50 g batches by adding 67 ml of a pre-stirred mixture of methanol, ethanol and / or ethylene glycol with water and surfactant to a 250 ml quartz beaker. A four-bladed axial flow impeller with a diameter of 55 mm was lowered into the beaker and rotated at a rate of 200 rpm, agitating the aqueous phase to ensure that the impeller cuts the gas / liquid interface. Slowly add the fuel dropwise into the water phase within 10-15 minutes. After all the fuel had been added, the mixture was stirred for an additional 15 minutes to form the desired dual fluid fuel composition.

[0030] As shown in Table 1, the resulting composition comprised, by weight, 80% diesel, 1% surfactant, and 19% alcohol-water mixture. The column of the percentage of alcohol in Table 1 refers to the percentage of alcohol in the alcohol-water mixture.

[0031] The compositions in Comparative Examples A, B and C contained surfactants Protachem CAH-16, Etocas 15 and ...

Embodiment 25

[0035] Substitute diesel oil with unleaded gasoline, repeat the process of embodiment 1. The resulting bifluid fuel was stable for 64 days, after which some instability was observed.

Embodiment 26

[0037] Substitute diesel oil with kerosene, repeat the process of embodiment 1. The resulting bifluid fuel was stable for 43 days before the samples began to show signs of instability.

Abstract

A method for the preparation of a biliquid foam which does not rely upon the initial formation of a gas foam, in which a stirrer having a single or a multiplicity of blades is used, the stirrer being operated in a manner such that at least one part of the stirrer mechanism breaks the interface between the continuous polar phase used to form the biliquid foam and the air, the non-polar phase being added dropwise at least initially whilst stirring the continuous polar phase and the rate of addition of the non-polar phase being controlled so that a biliquid foam composition is formed.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to polyaphron (otherwise known as two-fluid foam) compositions, and in particular to polyaphron fuel compositions having a high content of saturated organic oxides in the continuous phase. Background technique [0002] The main irritants and pollutants in the atmosphere are nitrogen oxides. Environmental pressures and government regulations to reduce NO emissions from internal combustion engines x requirements are becoming increasingly stringent. One of the problems with diesel fueled internal combustion engines is the increased tendency of nitrogen from the air or nitrogen-containing compounds in the fuel to be oxidized to nitrogen oxides due to the relatively high temperatures reached by combustion. To reduce NO x Some methods have been proposed, including using catalytic converters, using clean fuels, and adjusting the engine's regulating mechanism. However, none of these methods has been widely used. The generatio...
