[0058] In one part of the experiments, tuber material was generated from in vitro transgenic pMOG845(patatin-tps) potato plants. A field trial was designed with 9 independent transgenic lines, 3 plots per line, and 5 tubers per plot. Tubers were planted in early May, and the germination process was monitored using conventional methods. The results are shown in Table 1. In the second part of the experiment, the pat-TPS plants (var. Kardal) from the tissue culture plants were placed in the plant incubator, 500 μmol light quantum m-2s-1 (16 hours of light, 20_C; 8 hours of darkness (15_C)) . The tubers were harvested after 3 months and stored at low temperature (4_C) for 2 months. Then move to room temperature (RT) and assess germination over 4 weeks.
